NorthShore Resources has a 6 month project for a Project Manager in Richfield, MN.
 
Our client, a top national retailer, is looking for a Project Manager to lead a large project team to drive successful hardware and software deployments across multiple retail locations.

MUST HAVE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
  • Large scale retail deployment experience
  • Project Management experience
  • Strong understanding and background in large scale enterprise rollouts
  • Experience with managing circuit (network) upgrades in many remote locations
  • Ability to run several deployment rollouts at a given time
  • Some technical background
  • Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups)
  • Experience with sorting and organizing large volumes of data
  • Ability to analyze data, recognize trends and forecast outcomes
  • Experience creating and presenting Executive presentations
  • Vendor management experience
  • Visio and MS Project experience
  • Strong MS Office skills

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and manage all aspects of the deployment effort, including the plans, interdependencies, schedule, budget, tools, and required personnel.
  • Define, implement, and maintain project process guidance related to deployment.
  • Provide technical leadership to project resources and the client to meet deployment deadlines and objectives.
  • Design and develop solution pilots and simulations that meet functional, technical, and performance requirements.
  • Consult with and develop technical resources for methods, procedures, and standards to use during deployment.
  • Review project deliverables for completeness, quality, and compliance with established project standards.
  • Document and communicate the status of deployment progress against plans, taking corrective action as necessary.
  • Identify, clarify, and resolve issues and risks concerning system deployment and maintenance activities, escalating them as needed.
  • Lead a cross functional group of project team members.
  • Manage end to end project management tasks for retail store deployment projects.
  • Gather scope and requirements, estimate deployment costs and oversee the implementation/deployment of projects.
  • Manage internal resources as well as external deployment vendors for consolidation and installation of equipment in the stores.
  • Manage the turnover transition to the internal company teams.
  • Act as a liaison for the business and application teams by guiding them through the deployment process in the retail stores.
  • Act as a single point of contact for store related projects and will be expected to run a deployment project flawlessly to the customer.
