NorthShore Resources has a contract opportunity for a Junior Business Systems Analyst with our client in Richfield, MN.

Our client, a national financial leader, is looking for an experienced Business Project Manager with with a proven track record of several projects implemented within scope time-line and cost. In this role, you will be responsible for managing two work streams within a larger program.

  • Strong experience as a Project Manager
  • Experience with large project implementations
  • Experience with large roll-outs and managing through a variety of issues and escalations
  • Strong experience with project planning across a broad range of business units and work components
  • Experience identifying and managing the critical path of big project efforts
  • Strong experience delivering projects within scope, timeline and cost
  • Strong financial management skills including experience with creating/updating monthly forecasts, and review of actuals and variances
  • Strong executive presence and experience with facilitating core, owner and steering committee meetings
  • Experience delivering large cross-organizational projects
  • Financial Industry understanding and experience
  • Advice and Wealth Management industry experience
  • Ability to execute at all levels within the organization
  • Ability to manage cross-organizational teams to drive execution
  • Strong ability execute effectively with minimal guidance/leadership
  • Draft and maintain detailed project plans for all the work components across all business areas, technology, service/operations business areas as well as all marketing, training and communications areas.
  • Manage across all these areas as the Single Point of Contact PM.
  • Responsible to pull all the project plans across all the project stakeholders an business areas into one consolidated plan and ensure everything stays on track.
  • Create a detailed critical path across all the different work areas to track project status and be able to identify on a daily basis if anything in not on track.
  • Highlight to management immediately with an associated action plan.
  • Manage project core and owner meetings and be able to communicate clearly at all levels.
  • Produce clear and concise project status for many different audiences.
  • Manage project risks, issues, change requests and questions pro-actively and escalating to the Steering Committee/Project Sponsor risks and issues with potential significant impact.
  • Consistently provide internal and external stakeholder communications and progress reports that effectively outline the project status, risks, issues and action plans to ensure project success.
  • Work effectively with business partners, vendors, technology, and project management staff to develop the project agenda and ensure agreement/adoption of project objectives/deliverables by all affected constituencies.
  • Analyze project performance, creating cost benefit analysis and identifying optimal solutions that minimize the negative impact and trade offs.
  • Implement corrective actions to ensure project success and facilitating project change requests.
  • Hold resources accountable for delivering on the project plan, including providing coaching and mentoring of resources across a broad range of business functions as well as vendors and internal technology deliverables.
  • Adhere to the approved project methodology for project management and maintains project artifacts and records.
  • Identify and track key measures of success for the project.
  • Provide clear concise project communication (status, meeting agenda, meeting notes) for different audiences from core teams to owner teams to steering committee members.
