NorthShore Resources has a 6+ month contract opportunity for a Business Systems Analyst in Richfield, MN.

Our client, a top national retailer, is looking for a Business Systems Analyst responsible for the articulation of business and system requirements for the company's new Voice Platform within the digital organization. In this role, you will work closely with Product, Engineering, and User-Experience peers to ensure that the team has all the information it needs to run smoothly and continuously deliver better and better experiences for customers engaging with the company through voice devices (Amazon Alexa, Google Home, etc.).

MUST HAVE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
  • Strong BSA experience with technical skills
  • Agile experience
  • Experience with documenting new technology systems without having an existing system to use as a model
  • Strong back end systems background
  • Understanding of web architecture
  • Experience building out JSON data contracts
  • Experience creating specification diagrams as UML sequence diagrams and various flowcharts
  • REST services experience
  • Public Cloud experience
  • Experience with NoSQL technologies
  • JSON and XML experience
  • Experience with Web services

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for the articulation of business and system requirements for the company's new Voice Platform within our digital organization.
  • Work closely with Product, Engineering, and User-Experience peers to ensure that the team has all the information it needs to run smoothly and continuously deliver better and better experiences for customers engaging with company through voice devices (Amazon Alexa, Google Home, etc.).
  • Analyze new feature definitions being dreamed up by Product and understand the Voice Platform systems enough to build detailed technical requirements for both front-end and back-end engineers to implement.
  • Build relationships with other teams and key team members to facilitate cross-team dependencies.
  • Write technical specifications, vet product requirements that require cooperation by cross-functional teams, facilitate communication between Product and Engineering about what's possible.
  • Translate feature ideas from the Product Owner into actionable work items for back-end and front-end Engineers.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of patterns, API's, and services used by this and other teams, without owning prioritization, look at the work as a whole.
  • Work very closely with product managers, tech lead, architect, product team, system engineers and developers to document and define requirements.
  • Continuously adapt requirements in an iterative manner.
