Northshore Resources has a client currently looking for a motivated professional to join their global IT team and take the lead in delivering fit‑for‑purpose Process Automation and Application Integration solutions & services to the business. This position is based in Oakdale (MN), USA and reports to the Process Improvement Director. The successful candidate will play an essential role in the further simplification and improvement of our end-to-end processes, and will work closely together with different business functions, IT application owners, as well as external vendors. Amongst other tasks, you will:
Facilitate the gathering and documentation of functional requirements together with business process owners and subject matter experts;
Analyze and challenge current processes; identify opportunities to simplify and streamline before automating;
Ensure that IT solutions are in line with our reference architecture as well as security guidelines;
Coordinate the full software development lifecycle, from analysis to development & testing until go-live and aftercare;
Write clear and well-structured system specifications for new solutions or change requests, and work with external software vendors/developers to deliver these efficiently and effectively, with high quality;
Provide second line support for the solutions in scope, through our IT incident management process and tool;
Report bugs to the respective software vendors and follow through until resolution;
Prepare and deliver training sessions to subject matter experts for new solutions or releases.
Education requirements:
A university degree in Information Technology, Business Economics, or similar through experience;
Fluent in English; other languages are a plus.
Experience requirements:
Hands-on experience with enterprise application integration and digital process automation, preferably in an international distribution or manufacturing environment; Knowledge of business analysis methodologies and tools; Experience with developing workflows; Knowledge of API based integration frameworks; Experience with relevant Microsoft technology (i.e. Power Automate, Power Apps, Logic Apps, Azure Integration Services, Azure DevOps); Experience with Robotic Process Automation tools; Knowledge of the Agile software development life cycle (SDLC) methodology; Experience working with offshore/nearshore vendors; Experience with coordinating smaller IT projects.
