Claims Business Systems Analyst

NorthShore Resources has a contract to hire opportunity for a Senior Business Systems Analyst on our client's Claims Business Intelligence Team. We are seeking a highly experienced analyst with a background in healthcare claims. The ideal candidate should have at least 7 years of experience in leading the elicitation and documentation of business requirements, user stories, user acceptance testing, and experience in both waterfall and agile methodologies. Candidate should have project management experience as a business lead successfully meeting large or very complex project deliverables and timelines on multiple projects as well as experience with reporting and business intelligence tools such as PowerBI or Tableau.

What We Expect from You (Accountabilities):

  • Lead the elicitation and documentation of business requirements for healthcare claims systems
  • Ensure that the requirements are aligned with the overall business strategy and objectives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that the requirements are complete, consistent, and traceable
  • Facilitate user acceptance testing to ensure that the systems meet the needs of the business
  • Work with the development team to ensure that the systems are designed and developed according to the requirements
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior business systems analysts

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in a business systems analyst role
  • Experience in healthcare claims systems
  • Strong knowledge of requirements elicitation and documentation techniques
  • Experience with user acceptance testing
  • Experience and flexibility in working in both waterfall and agile methodologies
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with PowerBI or similar reporting tools is important
  • Experience with SQL
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
