Sr. Project Manager (Salesforce)

NorthShore resources has an immediate need at one of our premier clients for an IT Senior Project Manager with strong Salesforce experience. This is a contract opportunity through April 2022 with strong possibility of extending.  You will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of the planning, execution, implementation, and overall delivery of key Commercial initiatives for Medical Device business.

The IT Sr Project Manager position leads project planning and execution teams, using both Waterfall and Agile methodologies, to deliver complex cloud-based solutions using and related technologies. These projects are focused on, but not limited to, implementation and enhancement of, including key feature areas enabling Opportunity and Lead Management, Sales Order, Service Management, and Field Inventory Management.

Core Job Responsibilities:
  • Plan, execute and manage all aspects of project management at the department or division level, including initiation, planning, execution, control and closure.
  • Works with business and IT management to establish and gain consensus on project goals, objectives and deliverables.
  • Develops and executes a work plan obtaining authorized resources to ensure all activities are performed. Gather lessons learned and obtain final project approval from sponsor and stakeholders.
  • Create and manage project scope, budget, resource planning, and management reporting & metrics
  • Expedite, manage and coordinated a multitude of interrelated IT project activities within the constraints of human and financial resources and changing priorities to ensure the successful completion of projects.
  • Assess the degree to which changes to scope, issues and risks will affect projects working with department, divisional management and sponsor to gain agreement for resolution 
  • Measure performance to assure the project is progressing as compared to original plan and budget
  • Communicate project progress by producing project reports to provide timely and accurate project status and decision support information to Project Team, Department and Division management
  • Coordinate resources to ensure project needs are addressed and effectively assign tasks and deliverables to team members based upon their abilities.
  • Motivates cross-functional project team of business analysts, developers, and validation analysts, including internal and third-party resources.
  • Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures

Minimum Education/Experience:
  • Bachelors degree in Business, Computer Science or related discipline
  • 7-10 years IT experience working within a large/complex IT organization, including project management, business systems analysis, software development or deployment
  • 5+ yrs. experience leading/managing projects in a complex, matrixed organization
  • Mastery of all phases of software development life cycle and related methodologies
  • Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong collaboration and partnering skills
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and changing environment

Preferred Experience:
  • implementation experience a plus, including business requirements definition, user stories, detailed functional and system design, configuration and/or customization involving the following areas: Sales, Service, Marketing, Inventory/Asset Management, on the platform
  • Experience with HP Quality Center or other testing tools
  • Project leadership using Waterfall, SCRUM, and Agile methodologies
  • Experience in pharmaceutical or medical device industry
  • Prior experience working with validated software or CFR Part 11 compliance
  • Strong analytical skills, including demonstrated proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project.
