Tibco Architect/Project Manager

NorthShore Resources has a fantastic opportunity for a SENIOR SPECIALIST APPLICATIONS SYSTEMS/TIBCO TECHNICAL ARCHITECT In the Minneapolis, MN area or Lake County, Il area. Our premier client is looking for resources currently located in one of these areas.  The client is fully on-site so candidates must be willing to be on location.  No 3rd parties and candidates must be eligible to be hired without sponsorship. 



Provides in-depth technical expertise & direction in the development, design, implementation, and support of Enterprise Service Bus (ESB);  ESB product suite is TIBCO technology responsible for data integration across all business units/divisions globally.  In this role, you will drive delivery of business outcomes through IT technology design, development, and implementation



This role will be ultimate responsible for the day to day technical activities within the ESB environment; ensure that all environments (production and non-production) are operating at their optimal capabilities without impact to business deliverables.  You will get to make an impact on the long-term strategy on global data integration.  We are looking for someone with expertise in technical solutions in data integration in ESB platforms like TIBCO.  This role will be responsible for the development, governess, and maintenance of long-term strategic direction for data integration.  For large initiatives, this role will be responsible for data integration alignment across all systems/applications involved; this role is key participant in the decision-making process for evaluating and choosing the best data integration alternative.


  • Serve as technical expert or lead projects/programs and technical staff to develop, test and implement TIBCO integration solutions. 
  • Responsible for design and code reviews within TIBCO BusinessWorks.
  • Works with managed services providers/vendors to set and enforce integration best practices.
  • Conduct investigation activity/research and give technical advice to the adoption or integration of new technologies and their business impact.
  • Lead in the development of standards and procedures and publish/communicate findings via IOI’s, presentations, white papers, etc.
  • Review, validate & enhance design, conduct performance monitoring and capacity planning.
  • Install, test and upgrade releases and associated TIBCO products.
  • Evaluate & recommend new software, utilities, and tools.
  • Set the strategy for implementing new technologies.
  • Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
  • Directs a development team for a major project, often utilizing a mix of various levels of analysts, responsible for subsystems of the overall project, directing the work of less experienced analysts and programmers.
  • Draws on the expertise of technical resources within Abbott and outside vendors.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, and the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time

Bachelor’s degree in the field of Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent of 7 or more years of work in similar field.
Five or more years of experience overseeing technical teams and running IT Operations
At least four or more years of experience in problem determination (experience in root cause analysis) and problem resolution.
At least one or more years of experience in Project Management.
Extensive computing experience in Solutions Integration Architect/Tibco Architect/Tibco Development
Experience with setting long-term integration strategy/product road maps aligning with business expectations/needs.

  • Development experience, specializing in providing state of the art Solutions/Integration architecture (e.g. TIBCO)
  • Excellent understanding of DevOPs and Agile principles
  • Four or more years of data integration development experience using TIBCO product suite of tools.
  • Must have strong expertise in operating Linux/Unix environments and scripting languages like Python, Perl, and Shell.
  • Excellent knowledge of software development and software testing methodologies along with configuration management practices.
